Law No. 963-IV on state control over land tenure and protection of land.

The present Law establishes legal economic and social bases for the organization of carrying out state control over land tenure and protection of land and is aimed at ensuring rational use and reproduction of natural resources. The Law consists of 14 articles. Article 1 introduces the main concepts. Article 2 establishes the main tasks of state control over land tenure and protection of land. Article 3 establishes the main principles of carrying out state control over land tenure and protection of land. Article 4 regards land as object of state control and protection. Article 5 regards authorized institutions in the sphere of state control over land tenure and protection of land. Article 6 determines plenary powers of the authorized institution in the sphere of land resources as regards control over land tenure and protection of land. Article 7 determines plenary powers of the authorized institution in the sphere of ecology and natural resources in the sphere of state control over the observance of the legislation on protection of land. Article 8 determines plenary powers of the authorized institution in the sphere of agricultural policy in the process of carrying out monitoring of soil fertility. Article 9 regards organization and carrying out state control over land tenure and protection of land, the observance of the provisions of the legislation on protection of land and carrying out soil monitoring. Article 10 determines plenary powers of state inspectors in the sphere of state control over land tenure and protection of land, and the observance of the legislation on protection of land. Article 11 establishes liability of state inspectors in the sphere of state control over land tenure and protection of land. Article 12 regards financing and material and technical provision of the authorized institutions. Article 13 regards social and legal protection of the officials of the authorized institutions. Article 14 lays down final provisions.
