The purpose of the present Act is to ensure the protection and the management of Crown land for agriculture and wildlife. The Crown lands listed in the Schedule are designated as wildlife habitat lands, but any of those lands may be withdrawn from the Schedule by regulations.
This Act amends the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act, 2008 by making minor word changes to sections 12, 13 and 19 that provide for the appointment of authorized officers and their powers, powers of the District Officer and powers of entry and seizure.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of protection, management and reproduction of urban forests with a view of creation of favourable environment for the population. The role of urban forests shall be as follows: (a) recreational, ecological, aesthetic, sanitary and other protection functions; (b) tourism and sport.
This Regional Law establishes legal status of slide areas, establishes boundaries of land areas where slide processes could originate. Slide processes shall be intended movement of rockslide under the impact of gravitation forces. A special conservation, maintenance and land-use planning regime shall be applicable to each slide area.
The scope of this Law shall be to ensure better living conditions of the population in border areas. Priority activity of state bodies and local self-government in border areas with special status shall be: (a) land reclamation; (b) conservation and rational management of natural resources; and (c) prevention of natural disasters and mitigation of the consequences thereof.
