The Contracting Parties, Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, the Kluane First Nation and the Government of the Yukon have developed the present Plant which identifies certain activities to be undertaken and certain payments to be made with respect to the implementation of the Selkirk First Nation Self-Government Agreement.

The present Agreement among the Teslin Tlingit Council and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada and the Government of the Yukon establishes the framework of a modern First Nation Government. In particular, the Agreement provides for the power to enact laws of a local or private nature on settlement land and for many aspects of the citizens' lives (marriage, adoption, education, administration of estates, etc.).

The present Agreement among the First Nation of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada and the Government of the Yukon establishes the framework of a modern First Nation Government. This Act amends the Conservation Areas Act in sections 18,19, 20 and 24 with respect to transfer of functions of the Minister to the Managing Director of the Conservation and Environment Authority (relating to the Register of conservation areas). It also repeals section 23 and allows the Managing Director to issue a certificate in the prescribed form certifying that an area described in the certificate has been registered in the Register (sect. 22).

These Regulations amend the Planning and Development Act, 2000 in provisions concerning, among other things: substitute consent; approval of quarries in protected areas and relative environmental impact assessment; decision of Board on whether to grant leave to apply for substitute consent; application for substitute consent; remedial environmental impact statement; remedial Natura impact statement.
