This Notice of the Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, made under section 22 of the Environment Conservation Act, 1989, designates in the Schedule the competent authority and the local authorities who may issue written authorization for the undertaking of activities which are identified in GN. R. 1526 in respect of the Outeniqua Sensitive Coastal Area referred to in that Government Notice. Those activities include: disturbance of vegetation, dredging, dune stabilisation and earthworks.

Those activities include: disturbance of vegetation, dredging, dune stabilisation and earthworks.

This Decree provides for the content of the land use register which is a computerized data base. It consists of a land use sheet and a collection of documents. Part I of the land use sheet contains data regarding the land user, Part II contains information by plots. Articles 6-16/A lays down the rules of registration, while Articles 17-19/B provides for supplying of data from the register.

This Regional Law regulates land relations concerning land-use planning, urban land zoning and land tenure of public land. It establishes that land tenure shall be performed exclusively in accordance with purposeful use of land. Land classification by categories, including classification of public and municipal land as agricultural land, transfer of land from one category to another shall be carried out by the supreme regional executive body.

El presente Decreto Legislativo aprueba el Texto Refundido de las Leyes de Ordenación del Territorio de Canarias y de Espacios Naturales de Canarias, que tiene por objeto en la Comunidad Autónoma de Canarias: establecer el régimen jurídico general de los Espacios Naturales de Canarias; regular la actividad administrativa en materia de ordenación de los recursos naturales, territorial y urbanística; y definir el régimen jurídico urbanístico de la propiedad del suelo y vuelo, de acuerdo con su función social.

This Regional Law delimits plenary powers between state bodies in the sphere of land relations. Regional Administration shall carry out the following plenary powers: (a) management of public land; (b) establishment of authorized regional state institution in the sphere of land relations; (c) decision-making related to purchase of land for public purposes; (d) imposition of use restrictions on land; (e) establishment of the amount of land charges and land lease fees; (f) establishment of the modalities of land survey; and (g) decision-making related to expropriation of land.

This Regional Law establishes cases of allotment of public and municipal land free of charge in ownership to citizens. A plot of land on which is located a residence building owned by a citizen, and the owner of the aforesaid residential facility has never before obtained of plot of public or municipal land free of charge, and there is no other way of allotment of the plot of land under residence building, then it can be allotted free of charge in ownership to the citizen – owner of residence building.
