Le présent décret modifie, entre autres, la loi du 12 juillet 1973 sur la conservation de la nature. Notamment, on abroge l’article 35. En outre, le présent décret modifie le décret du 28 juin 1985 relatif à l’autorisation écologique. Notamment, on remplace certains mots de l’article 19bis.En outre, le présent décret modifie divers décrets concernant les forêts, la protection de l’environnement, l'assainissement du sol, la conservation de la nature, l’organisation du marché du gaz, les eaux destinées à l’utilisation humaine et la politique intégrée de l’eau.

These Regulations amend the Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 in provisions concerning credit operations regarding landfill operations that are favourable to the environment. Among other things, they change the maximum credit that landfill site operators may claim against their annual landfill tax liability and simplify some of the conditions of operation placed on environmental bodies and the regulatory body. Environmental bodies shall have certain duties of notification towards the regulatory body, whereas the regulatory body shall be controlled by the Commissioners of Customs and Excise.

El presente Acuerdo aprueba el Procedimiento para la adjudicación de tierras del patrimonio forestal del Estado y bosques y vegetación protectores, cuyo objetivo es el de establecer los parámetros para la adjudicación de tierras del Estado y bosques y vegetación protectores de propiedad del Estado por parte del Ministerio del Ambiente.

The present Act applies to private managed forest land other than land that is in a tree farm licence area, a woodlot licence area or a community forest agreement area. Section 4 decrees that the Private Managed Forest Land Council is established as a corporation consisting of the members appointed under section 6. The object of the council is to encourage forest management practices on private managed forest land, taking into account the social, environmental and economic benefits of those practices.

This Act makes amendments principally to the Soil Protection but also the Environment Act, the Act on Economic Offences and the Act on Pollution of Surface Waters in relation with deposit in or on the soil of construction materials, soil and dredging. The amendments concern the making of rules for such activities, standards for deposited material and the protection of soil, water, air, public health, plants and animals.

Le présent arrêté modifie l'arrêté ministériel du 1er avril 2004 relatif à la mise en conformité des infrastructures de stockage des effluents d'élevage. En particulier, on remplace, entre autres, le point 4° de l'article 1 par le texte suivant: 4° "exploitant agricole": la personne physique ou dans le cas d'une personne morale, chacun des administrateurs délégués, gérants ou associés gérants de la personne morale, qui s'adonne, au sein d'une exploitation, à l'activité agricole et qui exerce cette activité à titre principal ou non principal.

The present Act lays down provisions relating to forest and range practices. Section 136 establishes that the Forest Practices Board is continued. This Act provides rules relative to the carrying out of excavations, quarrying of mines and landfill operations and the control of such activities affecting the soil and landscape. The Act also provides for the protection of trees in certain circumstances.The Minister is charged with the responsibility of regulating excavation, landfill operations, quarrying, mining and harvesting of protected trees in The Bahamas, for the purpose of providing for and ensuring the conservation and maintenance of the environment.

This Law establishes exclusive plenary powers of the self-government bodies in the following areas: (a) management and disposal of public land resources; (b) land use planning; (c) management of local public forest and water resources; and (d) management of local water supply, drainage and sewerage systems (art. 16). The local self-governing representative bodies (Sakrebulo) shall have plenary powers in the following areas: (a) establishment of management rules and regulations applicable to local public land, forest and water resources; and (b) land use planning (art. 22).

These Regulations implement provisions of the Conservation and Protection of the Physical Landscape of The Bahamas Act, 1997 concerning the application for, and the granting of, permits for excavation or landfill operations or the to harvesting of protected trees and a licence to quarry or mine. Applications, permits or licences shall be in the form as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
