Le présent arrêté crée auprès du Ministre chargé de l’Environnement et de l’Assainissement un Comité de Pilotage du Programme de renforcement des capacités de l’Etat et des Collectivités locales en matière de gestion de l’environnement et de ressources naturelles.Ce comité a pour mission d’assurer le pilotage et le suivi du Programme.

This Regulation of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA), made National Forestry Reform Law of 2006 concerns sound approach to forest land use planning to maximize the benefits of forest land allocation to Liberian society as a whole. Forest land use planning must be consistent with national land use priorities in all sectors and proposed uses for forest lands must be validated locally to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of the planning process, and the results reached.

The present Ministerial Order by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations provides for the implementation of Ecosystem Based Management (EBM) on forested lands in the Great Bear Rainforest (GBR). It establishes legal objectives pursuant to section 93.4 of the Land Act, for the purpose of directing forest practices implemented under the Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA).

This Regulation of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA) establishes the responsibilities of Person harvesting or making Commercial Use of Forest Resources under a Forest Resources License ("the Operator") with respect to the rights of private land owners and provides for a right of compensation to land owners harmed as a result of any activity or process carried out pursuant to a Forest Resources License. The Operator shall take all measures necessary to prevent harm to the property of private land owners resulting from operations, without limitation.

El presente Reglamento tiene por objeto las prescripciones que deben cumplimentarse para la corta, destrucción, eliminación o menoscabo de árboles y arbustos nativos, en bosque nativo, y la corta, destrucción o descepado de árboles, arbustos y suculentas, en formaciones xerofíticas. El fin perseguido es el de proteger los suelos, manantiales, cuerpos y cursos naturales de agua y humedales declarados sitios prioritarios de conservación o sitios Ramsar.

En el marco de la Estrategia Decenal de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas de Lucha Contra la Desertificación y la Sequía (E-10/CNULD), Guinea Ecuatorial aprobó el presente Programa de Acción Nacional de Lucha Contra la Desertificación y Sequía (PAN-LCD). This is a Māori/Ngati Porou-led PES scheme that makes use of government afforestation subsidies and foreign direct investment to enable one of the tribe’s commercial bodies, Ngāti Porou Whanui Forests Limited (NPWFL) to become a provider of environmental services by undertaking afforestation activities to mitigate severe soil erosion and its negative effects on the Ngāti Porou community.
