Confrontée à une dégradation croissante et accélérée de ses principales ressources naturelles, la Guinée a adopté en juin 2006, le Programme d’action National de Lutte Contre la Désertification (PAN/LCD) qui constitue un cadre de référence devant désormais guider les actions de l’Etat, des acteurs non gouvernementaux et des partenaires au développement en matière de lutte contre la dégradation des terres et la déforestation.

The National Forest Strategy's vision is that sustainable forest management is a source of growing welfare. With this vision as its starting point, the Government Report on Forest Policy sets the following strategic objectives: 1) Finland is a competitive operating environment for forest-based business; 2) Forest-based business and activities and their structures are renewed and diversified; 3) Forests are in active, economically, ecologically and socially sustainable and diverse use.

The overall objective of the present National Forest Policy is the conservation, protection, management and utilisation of the nation’s forest resources, while ensuring that the productive capacity of the forests for both goods and services is maintained or enhanced.

The vision of the present Strategy is that Wales will be known for its high-quality woodlands that enhance the landscape, are appropriate to local conditions and have a diverse mixture of species and habitats. These will: i) provide real social and community benefits, both locally and nationally; ii) support thriving woodland-based industries and iii) contribute to a better quality environment throughout Wales.

The main reason and the purpose of the National Forest Programme is harmonisation with other national policies and international commitments, and thus to contribute to an important segment of the sustainable development strategy in the country.Chapter 4 lays down provisions relating to the Vision and the essential objectives of the present Programme.

The main objective of the present Forest Policy is enhancing the contribution of the forests to the national economy and the welfare of the current and future generations, taking into account the preservation of the biodiversity. Three goals of equal weight are contained in the main objective, namely: 1) Economic goal: Forests will be used efficiently and in a sustainable manner in order to enhance the contribution of the sector to the national economy, including foreign currency, government income, and employment.

This Ordinance of the Temotu Province concerns the administration of agriculture and the control on agricultural activities in the province. The Provincial Executive may establish a Provincial Agriculture Advisory Committee, the functions of which are defined by this Ordinance.

The National Forestry Policy and Implementation Strategy is Liberia’s sectoral policy and strategy for the forestry sector for the period 2006-2016. It focuses on maximizing the benefits of the forestry sector for the Liberian society, with a special emphasis on the contribution of the sector to poverty alleviation.

Después de numerosas estrategias de supervivencia, los pobladores de Puerto Prado lograron adquirir legalmente las tierras que ocupaban comprando a precio del mercado la nueva propiedad. Con los títulos de posesión en mano obtuvieron en el año 2003 el estatus de Comunidad Nativa que reclamaron con tanto ahínco tanto al Ministerio de Agricultura como al Gobierno de Loreto, en el Perú.

Este documento es fruto del esfuerzo conjunto de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (cepal), la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (fao) y el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (iica).
