This Act provides for the establishment of the New Murree Development Authority, defines its powers and functions and provides for its administration and functioning.Powers and functions of the Authority include: preparation, implementation and enforcement of schemes for environmental improvement, water supply, sewerage, drainage and solid waste disposal; acquisition of property; and sale, lease or disposal of property.The Act further provides for: establishment of a fund to be known as the “New Murree Development Authority Fund”; the exclusive right of the Authority to use water resources;

These Regulations set out procedures for the making of applications for waste facility permits for the purposes of section 39(4) of the Waste Management Act, 1996 and a waste authorization to be granted by the Environmental Protection Agency. The Regulations also provide rules relative to public consultation, consideration by local authorities of submissions in relation to permit applications, and the grant, refusal and review of collection permits by local authorities.

This Regulation defines administrative, legal and technical principles on the rehabilitation and rearrangement of degradated lands. The Regulation also specifies principles and procedures on the management of wastes in the degradated areas due to mining activities. The Regulation finally covers provisions on the procedures and steps of an action plan for the rehabilitation and rearrangement of the degradated and polluted lands.

This Ordinance sets forth the updated version of the Code of Good Agricultural Practice. The creation of this Code comes along with the implementation of Council Directive 91/676/EEC on the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources. The Code has the aim of promoting guidelines able to assist farmers to reduce water pollution caused by fertilizers from agricultural sources and to prevent further such pollution and to set the acceptable environmental conditions for the use of urban waste water for irrigation purposes.

Town and Country Planning (Hazardous Substances) (Scotland) Regulations 1993 (S.I. No. No. 323 (S.31) of 1993).

These Regulations set out the list of substances which are hazardous substances for the purposes of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972 as amended, which requires consent for the presence at or above land of excess of a controlled quantity of a hazardous substance. It also, among other things, sets out the procedure to obtain consent and the procedure for enforcement of hazardous substances control.

This Act makes provision for the protection of the environment and vegetation and provides rules to environmental sanitation and physical planning and development. It shall promote the conservation of the natural environment and landscape beauty of Norfolk Island and to ensure, so far as is practicable, that physical works and other activities are in harmony with the natural environment. The Act establishes the Norfolk Island Planning Board. The Board shall consider applications for authorization of activities for which approval is required under this Act.

This Ordinance provides rules for the development of land and land-use planning in general and provides for control on development. It establishes the Land Planning and Development Control Board and the Planning and Development Appeals Tribunal and requires the Governor to appoint a Planning Officer. The Planning Officer may, and if so required by the Governor in Council shall, submit proposals to the Governor in Council for the preparation of a development plan.

Landfill Tax (Qualifying Material) Order 2011 (S.I. No. 1017 of 2011).

This Order lists material in column 2 of the Schedule to this Order which shall be qualifying material for the purpose of section 42 of the Finance Act 1996. That section provides for a lower rate of landfill tax to be charged where the material disposed of consists entirely of qualifying material. The material listed in column 2 of the Schedule must not be treated as qualifying material unless any condition set out alongside the description of the material in column 3 is met.
