The data included in this dataset reflects indicator 11.1.1 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which measures the proportion of urban population living in slums, informal settlements or inadequate housing.
This indicator is under "Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable”. It measures progress towards target 11.1, which reads:
>> Target 11.1 - By 2030, ensure access for all to adequate, safe and affordable housing and basic services and upgrade slums.
This indicator is currently classified as Tier I. The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is the Custodian agency for this indicator.
