The present Act attempts to facilitate the implementation of those provisions of First Nations’ claim settlements in the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan that relate to the creation of reserves or the addition of land to existing reserves.
The present Act provides for the setting up of experimental farm stations which are scientific research centres that investigate difficulties and potential improvements to food production and agribusiness.

For the purpose of the present Act “Flood Agreement” means the agreement concerning the flooding of land concluded between: a) Her Majesty in right of Canada, b) Her Majesty in right of Manitoba, c) the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, and d) the Northern Flood Committee, Inc.
This Decree amends the Unit Titles Act in section 2 by deleting subsection (4). Subsection (4) prohibits a proprietor of a unit to establish an easement over the unit without the consent of the proprietor of the unit estate or the mortgagee.
