Regulations to implement provisions of the Forests Act and to provide for various other matters.The 74 regulations are placed under the following headings: Preliminary (regs. 1-4); Forest roads (regs. 5-12); Forest fires (regs. 13-17); Trespass (regs. 18-29); Enforcement (regs. 30-39); Community catchment areas (regs. 40-45); Private forestry (regs. 46-52); Leases of forest estates (regs. 53-58); Forest recreation (regs. 59-61); General (regs. 62-74).Regulation 4 defines the contents of a forest management plan in the sense of section 8 of the Act.

This Regulation consist of 3 Chapters divided into 19 articles and it provides for the auction of land use rights in order to assign land with the collection of land use levies or to lease land. Article 3 specifies cases entitled to land assignment or land lease through auction. Conditions on land plots which have to be auctioned and conditions to participate to auctions are described in articles 5 and 6.

This Act makes provision, in 22 Chapters, for the management and conservation of forest resources of Liberia, defines ownership rights and other rights in forests, provides for the protection of the environment and wildlife in forests, regulates the trade in forest products and provides for various other matters relative to forestry and wildlife.Chapter 2 defines rights in forest resources in Liberia and grants the right to the Forestry Development Authority to lease out forestry land.

This Act amends the Landlord and Tenant Act in relation with the modification of the definition of "business premise" and "premises" in section 2, in relation with the formula for the increase of rent (the Second Schedule of the principal Act) and with proceedings of the Fair Rent Tribunal. This Decree provides for the collection of land and water surface rents. The State shall lease land or water surface with an annual collection of rents in the cases specified in article 2. Chapter II gives specific provisions on land and water surface rent units and provides for the determination of land and water surface rents, etc. Provisions on land and water surface rent exemption and reduction are provided for in Chapter III. Chapter IV provides for the collection and payment of land and water surface rents.

The Law consists of 7 Chapters composed of 67 articles dealing with the following matters: 1) general provisions (chapt. 1, arts. 1-8); 2) the unified land territory and its basic classification (chapt. 2, arts. 9-16); 3) the authority of the government bodies and local self-governing organizations regarding land issues (chapt. 3, arts. 17 – 23); 4) land management, land register and the unified land territory report (chapt. 4, arts. 24-26); 5) concession of land in ownership and lease (chapt. 5, arts. 27-51); 6) efficient and rational use of land and land protection (chapt. 6, arts.

This Act amends the land Act, 1999 and Courts (Land Disputes Settlements) Act, 2002. The Land Act 1999 is amended in provisions concerning the jurisdiction of the District Land and Housing Tribunal and the District Court (sect. 50), exemption of leased land or any class of leased land from application of provisions of Part IX of the principal Act (sect. 77), determination of the amount of rent for leased land (sect. 78), and disputes regarding leases and termination of lease (sects.

These Rules prescribe, in the Schedule, the form that shall be used in every application for a lease or licence for special purposes under Part V of the Government Lands Act. A deposit shall accompany every application. This shall be allocated towards the amount due in respect of the area if granted or refunded to the applicant if the application is refused. The deposit shall be forfeited if a false statement is made.

These Rules prescribe a fee for every consent in respect of a transfer conveyance, assignment, mortgage, charge, sale, lease or sub-lease of a developed plot of Government land as provided for Government Lands (Consents) Rules and for every consent in respect of any other transaction or dealing with land (within or outside a municipality) not otherwise provided for in the Government Lands Act. The fee shall be charged notwithstanding anything contained in the Government Lands (Consents) Rules for any consents applied for and given by the Commissioner of Lands.

These Rules concern the consent of the President of Kenya to the execution of a mortgage of Government land in lease and consent of the President to any assignment, transfer or sublease between parties of the same piece of land for all leases of farms or town plots issued under the Crown Lands Ordinance, 1902.

These Rules prescribe fees for the conveyance of Government land. This may be done in the form of lease, temporary occupation licence, agreement, conveyance concession or separate deed. The Commissioner of Lands may remit any fee prescribed under these Rules.

These Rules prohibit the lease or sale of Government land outside the area of any township or station within a given distance from the centre of any public road. Furthermore, no building, fencing or other obstacle shall be erected within a given distance from the centre of any public road outside the area of any township or station.
