The Vision of the present cross-sectoral Forestry Strategy 2020 (FS2020) establishes that by 2020, the Government of the Lao PDR envisages a sizeable, vigorous and robust forestry sector continuing in its role as one of the leading sectors advancing national socio-economic development. A sector in which scientifically-managed natural production forests generate timber and non-timber products at sustainable levels with village participation, under supervision and technical support from well-staffed, well-trained local and national government units.

Por la presente Ley se establecen las bases para la organización, explotación, fomento, sanidad y protección de la ganadería, avicultura y especies menores (ganado ovino, caprino y porcino) en el Estado de Tlaxcala. La Ley define las atribuciones de las autoridades competentes, y en especial de la Dirección de Agricultura y Ganadería del Estado. También regula la creación y el funcionamiento de las organizaciones de ganaderos.

The present Rural Development Policy and Strategies underscores one basic objective with regard to economic development, i.e. to build a market economy in which: i) a broad spectrum of the Ethiopian people are beneficiaries; ii) dependence on food aid is eliminated; and, iii) rapid economic growth is assured. Given the dominance of agriculture in the Ethiopian economy, i.e. agriculture contributes to about 80% of employment, the rural development effort is presently associated with agricultural development.Part Two focuses on “Rural and Agricultural Development Policies and Stragtegies".

Land Claims and Self-Government Agreement among the Tlicho and the Government of the Northwest Territories and the Government of Canada.

The present Agreement is the first combined land, resources and self-government Agreement in the Northwest Territories. Canada, the Government of the Northwest Territories(GNWT) and the Tlicho are Parties to the Agreement. The Agreement provides the Tlicho with ownership of a single block of 39,000 square kilometres of land, including subsurface resources, adjacent to or surrounding the four Tlicho communities. The Agreement also provides for self-government. A regional Tlicho Government was created with law-making authority over Tlicho Citizens in their communities and on their lands.

Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement Act (S.C. 2008, c. 32).

Section 4 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement is approved, given effect and declared valid and has the force of law. The Act – consisting of 33 sections – addresses, inter alia, the following issues: rights and obligations, third parties, inconsistency with the Agreement, payments out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, fee simple estate, Tax Treatment Agreement, powers of Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, land management.

First Nations Assessment Inspection Regulations (SOR/2007-242).

The present Regulations are made under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act. For the purpose of the present Regulations “assessable property” means reserve land, an interest in reserve lands or a right to occupy, possess or use reserve lands, that is subject to assessment under a property assessment law. Inspections of such properties shall be carried out in accordance with procedures prescribed in sections 3 to 7 of the present Regulations. The text consists of 8 sections.

Tlicho Land Claims and Self-Government Act (S.C. 2005, c. 1).

Section 3 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the Tlicho Land Claims and Self Government Agreement is approved, given effect and declared valid and has the force of law. Section 6 specifies that there shall be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund any sums that are required to meet the monetary obligations of Canada under chapters 9, 18 and 24 to 26 of the Agreement.The text consists of 111 sections.
