Ngorongoro Conservation Area Ordinance (Establishment of Ngorongoro Pastoral Council) Rules, 2000 (G.N. No. 234 of 2000).

There is hereby established a Ngorongoro Pastoral Council. The Council shall carry out the functions as provided for by its act of constitution as set out in the Schedule. The Council shall, for purposes of development in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, have the power to develop and plan for implementation of any project and to submit such proposal to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority.

Section 18 of the Agriculture Act 1986 gives the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food power to designate areas in England as environmentally sensitive areas where it appears to him particularly desirable to conserve, protect or enhance environmental features in those areas by the maintenance or adoption of particular agricultural methods. This Order designates areas in the Broads, Pennine Dales, Somerset Levels and Moors, South Downs and West Penwith as environmentally sensitive areas (art. 3).

This Order, which is made only for purposes corresponding to those of section 18 of the Agriculture Act 1986, makes provision for the designation and management of environmentally sensitive areas where maintaining or adopting particular agricultural methods is likely to facilitate the conservation, enhancement or protection of specified aspects of the environment.

The purpose of this Act is to determine in detail the transfer of ownership of state owned assets to local government, and so to ensure the necessary assets to the functioning of the latter. Chapter I rules the transfer of assets to local governments such as flats and premises other than flats, monuments, protected natural areas, lands, the assets of public utilities, water resources (except for transboundary waters), water works and water supply services. Chapter II regards the transfer of the management right of real estates.

This Act and the regulations apply to all land within the boundaries of any forest reserves established pursuant to this Act. "Forest reserves" is all land described in the appendix to the agreement set forth in the Schedule to chapter 20 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1948, and to chapter 59 of the Statutes of Canada, 1947. All forest reserves within Alberta are set apart and established for the conservation of the forests and other vegetation in the forests and for the maintenance of conditions favourable to an optimum water supply.

This Decree creates the protected area of "Alcobaça", within the Municipality of Petrópolis, State of Rio de Janeiro. This Decree prohibits tree logging within certain areas in the State of São Paulo. It consists of 21 articles establishing the zones (including protected zones, natural reserves and urban areas) in which tree logging is prohibited in order to preserve natural habitats. A list of protected trees is specified in article 16. Exceptional tree logging may be authorized by the Environmental Secretariat and the State Forestry Institution.
