The present Act concerns the operation of mines, other than coal. Quarriable substances are vested in the owner of the land in or on which they lie. The Minister of Natural Resources controls the extraction of quarriable substances from Crown Land and that area of the shore that lies within three hundred metres above and three hundred metres below the ordinary high water mark.
General Regulation – Quarriable Substances Act (N.B. Reg. 93-92).
The present Regulation enacts certain sections of the Quarriable Substances Act (SNB 1991, c Q-1.1). The text – consisting of 28 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: shore areas, quarry permit, quarry lease, peat exploration licence, peat lease, written authorization, renewal of quarry lease or peat lease, fee for transfer of quarry lease or peat lease, protection, reclamation and rehabilitation.

The present Act makes provisions, inter alia, with respect to land tenure rights, conveyance of lands, easements, transfer of land, leases, mortgages, and various other matters relative to the registration of titles, use of land rights, transfer of land,etc.
Crown Grant Restrictions Act (RSNB 2011, c 136).
This Act released the restrictions made on any grant issued by the Crown prior to January 1, 1990. Restrictions may affect clear, cultivate, seat, enclose, dyke, repair or maintain dykes, improve, sow, plant, sow or plant specified crops or drain the land; dig a stone quarry or other mine or cut wood or employ labour in digging any stone quarry or other mine or in the cutting of wood; and keep or put neat cattle on the land. Surveys Act (RSNB 2011, c 226).
The present Act lays down provisions relating to land survey in the province of New Brunswick. In particular, the Act sets out details of land surveying procedures. Section 2 establishes that the Service New Brunswick shall establish and maintain a system of plane rectangular coordinates for locating points on the earth’s surface. A surveyor with at least five years experience as such shall be designated as Director of Surveys by Service New Brunswick.
