El presente Decreto, considerando que existen personas naturales y jurídicas que habiendo obtenido la concesión para ocupar zonas de playas han ocupado sin autorización áreas de mayor extensión a las concedidas y que además existen personas que nunca obtuvieron la concesión para ocupar zonas de playa y bahía, y que estas áreas son explotadas desde el año 1990, modifica el Reglamento general a la Ley de pesca y desarrollo pesquero, disponiendo que los concesionarios de zonas de playa y bahía que hubieren ocupado un área mayor a la concedida y que las personas naturales o jurídicas que ocupar

Act amending Fertilizers Act.

This Act lays down some amendments and addenda to Fertilizers Act. In particular the amended art.3a defines requirements for secondary source of nutrients and compost, amended art 4 provides details on the register of certified fertilizers and register of mutually recognized fertilizers, and supplemented art. 5a regulates registration of fertilizers marketed in another Member State of the European Union.

These Regulations, made in terms of section 45 of the Communal Land Reform Act, provide with respect to a wide variety of matters concerning communal land and communal land rights. Part I deals with (application for) customary land rights. It specifies the maximum size of land that may be held under customary land right and specifies particulars pertaining to allocation of customary land right.

Soil Conservation Measures and Guidelines.

Soil conservation measures are prescribed and recommendations are given for the conservation of: (a) lowlands and flat areas and land sloping in various degrees, pasture lands and range lands. Measures are required for the environmentally sound production of food, wood, and other commodities based on sustainable use of land, species and ecosystem. In most areas of Uganda the combination of several conservation practices are recommended and packages will depend on area and crops, livestock and tree species on the land. Measures regard land moving works and cultivation/agro-forestry.

Guidelines on the management of hilly and mountainous areas.

These guidelines contain principles of and rules for the management of hilly and mountainous areas. They define functions and duties of District Environment Committees and other local authorities in respect of management of hilly and mountainous areas duties of land owners in respect to use of grazing of livestock, cultivation, agroforestry and water run-off. Each District Council shall make bye-laws identifying mountainous and hilly areas within their jurisdiction which are at risk from environmental degradation.

Coastal Primary Sand Dunes and Beaches (Code of Virginia: Title 28.2. Fisheries and Habitat of the Tidal Waters; Chapter 14; §§ 28.2-1400 through 28.2-1420)

This Chapter of the Code of Virginia concerns coastal primary sand dunes and beaches. It provides that the Marine Resources Commission shall preserve and protect coastal primary sand dunes and beaches and prevent their despoliation and destruction. Whenever practical, the Commission shall accommodate necessary economic development in a manner consistent with the protection of these features. It further provides for coastal primary sand dune ordinance and boards; permitting for certain activities, and enforcement.
