Abantu Behlathi was born out of the desperate need of Forestry People to have a representative body through which we can promote solidarity, collective cohesion and action. As a people who continue to experience being oppressed and marginalized, our mission is to achieve social justice, to eliminate poverty, to reduce inequality, to challenge socio-economic disparities and to address landlessness - reflecting our needs for childhood development, women and youth empowerment, food security, economic participation and a sense of belonging through ownership of the land we live on.
